Alotau is the Capital of Papua New Guinea‘s Milne Bay Province. It is rich in history and culture as well as being rewarded with natural beauty. Milne Bay and Alotau are commonly known as being the site for the Battle of Milne Bay where Japanese forces suffered their first defeat in World War 2 at the hands of Australian and American soldiers based there.

Kiriwina is the largest island located in the Trobriand Islands. Kiriwina Island is also apart of the Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea. There are roughly 12,000 people living in Kiriwina, making it the most populated island in the Trobriand Islands.

The privately owned Conflict Islands is located 152 kms from the top of Papua New Guinea and is known for being one of the most remote places in the world. The Conflict Islands are comprised of 21 unoccupied islands, which were once part of an oceanic volcano.
