Countdown to Majestic Princess arriving in New Zealand

The countdown is on until Majestic Princess, the newest and most luxurious ship in the Princess fleet, arrives in New Zealand. Carrying 3,560 guests, the 143,000-tonne mega-liner will be the largest Princess ship ever to sail in New Zealand waters. 

Celebrations commence in the lead up to Mega-Liner sailing through Fiordland.

The 330 metre long flagship will sail through Fiordland on Sunday, 30 September before arriving in Dunedin, her first New Zealand port on Monday, 1 October. As part of a 13 night roundtrip voyage from Sydney, Majestic will travel from Dunedin through to Akaroa, Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Bay of Islands before making her way back to Sydney.

“The celebrations have officially begun! Today marks 100 days until our newest flagship, Majestic Princess, officially arrives in New Zealand,” said Senior Vice President Princess Cruises Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison.

“The anticipation and excitement for Majestic’s maiden season speaks to the momentous growth of our market. Incredibly, we have already announced her second season return before she’s arrived, to spearhead our largest New Zealand deployment in 2019, alongside Ruby Princess.”

The ultimate in premium cruising, Majestic Princess features 13 dining options including two restaurants with menus designed by Michelin star chefs, Harmony by Chef Richard Chen and La Mer by Chef Emmanuel Renaut. Additional highlights include over 1000 square metres of designer shopping, the cruise line’s largest thermal suite, as well as a dramatic over-the-ocean glass walkway, the SeaWalk. Guests can choose from a wide range of high-end accommodation including suites, Club Class mini-suites, and new deluxe balcony rooms, with more than 80 per cent of the ship’s 1780 staterooms offering private balconies.
