Carnival Cruise Line has released some new images of Carnival Horizon under construction at Fincantieri’s Maghera shipyard.
Carnival’s next ship which is set to debut in 2018 is all on schedule as work continues into the fitting out phase, with workers setting up all the interior spaces on the ship.
Carnival Horizon will also undergo comprehensive sea trials before being delivered from Fincantieri to Carnival Cruise Line. Once completed Horizon will be 133,500 gross tons and will be identical to Carnival Vista, and is set to feature the first Dr. Seuss-themed WaterWorks aquapark.
Set to make her maiden voyage from Barcelona on April 2nd 2018, she will have a short stay in the Mediterranean before heading transatlantic to New York on 23rd May. Horizon is set to spend the summer sailing Bermuda and Caribbean cruises before beginning its year round service of Caribbean cruises from Miami in September.
Work has already begun on Carnival’s third Vista class ship which is set to be delivered in Autumn 2019. Check out the latest construction photo’s in the gallery below.
